Sensei Lukha's method of teaching: Educate comes from the Latin word 'Educo', meaning to draw out from within. Asking questions allows our LIONS to think and be creative while gaining a deeper understanding of what is being taught. It empowers them to become thinking proactive people. If Sensei says something then it means one thing, if our LIONS say it then it means EVERYTHING. Some of these questions are designed to check understanding, others are designed to make the LIONS think about what they have learned and why it is important. This is why Sensei asks so many questions in class.

Colouring in is a great way to explore creativity & calm down. This provides an opportunity to do something creative and calming to take care of our ninjas mental health. There are also many adult colouring books now because the calming creativity of colouring is PROVEN to reduce anxiety and promote mental wellness. Do the challenge with your kids.

Colour the sheet and post it on YOUR social media. Tag @ChiragLukha or @LIONSSelfDefence (please make sure its 'public' so we can see it). At the end of the lockdown we will pick some winners to receive a surprise.

ARTS & CRAFTS

In this section we learn to take something that seems boring and make it fun! Turning one situation into another is what being a LEADER is all about. Its MAGIC!

We can have an ok time with paper, but if we use our imagination and our skills we can turn that paper into something SUPER FUN!

I found this video on youtube.

So much fun from some paper!

This will promote creativity, learning a new skill, the important lesson of turning one thing into another which can lead to conversations about turning seemingly bad situations into good ones/losses into lessons/recycling etc.

Now you have completed your lesson, lets do the Quiz challenge to see if you are a super ninja

A WE WILL ROCK YOU ATTITUDE

COLOURING CONTEST

BEFORE YOU START

You will need to be in FULL LIONS uniform. This way you look and feel like a warrior, ready to go. This class is a class like every other, getting dressed for the event puts us in the right mind-set for training.

Get some music! From music psychology we know that the sounds around us dramatically effect our energy. We need high energy to do our best and perform at our peak.

Have water to hand to take regular breaks (between every 2 drills works well).
